This in Sonoma County where a persistent elephant seal is causing traffic problems on highway 37. Earlier this afternoon the large mammal crawled on to the highway. Officials say a passenger became sick on the flight after take off and china flight 3 returned to sfo just before 3 00 a. M. The passenger was taken to the hop and the rest of the passengers stayed on board. The flight took off again and should arrive in taiwan four hours late. Breaking news from the east bay fire crews are at the scene of a twoalarm fire that left two people dead in east oakland. The fire started after 1 00 a. M. Near 62nd avenue. Crews pulled out a victim from a unit where though believe the fire started. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman also died in the fire. Shes sick. Reporter yeah. Thats the unfortunate part in all this. But the good news is her house has heat now. And shes one of about 930 who have heat back in their homes. Thats the latest update from pg e just minutes ago. That means about 5,000 people still without that heat. Now, were here at timber point elementary school, its a warming shelter. You see the cots available. Theyve been pretty empty all morning but theyre offering that and food, fresh coffee. People walked in a few minutes ago to take advantage of that. Pg e reps are expecting crowds of people here when they get home from work tonight. Its just been a little rough. Reporter the cold night made it difficult for 6monthold baby oliver to sleep, which of course means sleep nearly impossible for mom. We definitely had to bundle up with a lot of blankets and didnt get very sound sleep because we kept waking up and now im kind of starting to get sick, which is wonderful especially because we are getting married in two days.
