Dunninger and Yohannes Earn Individual Titles, Women in Second Place After Day Two CLOVIS, CALIF. — The University of New Mexico track and field team made another strong appearance in day two of the 2021 Mountain West Outdoor Championships as Awet Yohannes and Camillo Dunninger both claimed individual titles. ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico Track and Field Team is set to travel to Clovis, Calif. for the 2021 Mountain West Outdoor Championships. The three-day event kicks off Thursday, May 13, and runs through Saturday, May 15. This will be the first conference championship event in two years. Salcido named MW Track Athlete of the Week COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — After garnering two first-place finishes at the UNLV Spring Opener, redshirt-senior Carlos Salcido has been named the Mountain West Track Athlete of the Week. Salcido set an outdoor regular season-best in the men’s 400m race, finishing at a time of 47.73 and in first place. Lobos Complete a Successful Day at the Texas Tech Matador Qualifier ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico sent 20 athletes to the Texas Tech Matador Qualifier in Lubbock, Texas, on Friday.
