Every episode in the film is worth watching, but it could have been nice if the screenplay was crispy. Some random scenes may not be interesting but we have to feel the movie. Ganganamoni Shekar has done a good job in selecting the right stories as all five parts of the film will be relatable to the present generation of youngsters or the audience.
Backed by appreciable performances, the musical romance goes beyond the norm
Uppena (‘high tide’ in Telugu) is a film that can trigger conversations. The romantic musical discusses social strata divisions. A lot is spoken about honour but thankfully, the film probes something other than honour killings. It discusses masculinity, which is a welcome move.
