By OLA MUDOPE, Lagos - A 26-year old mother, identified as Maria Ahmadu and her accomplice, Oge Okolie, have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly attempting to sell a nine-month-old baby. The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest on Saturday in a statement. SP Hundeyin said that

Lagos police RSS operatives foil attempt to sell a two-month old baby by the mother, Maria Ahmadu and her accomplice, Oge Okolie.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the baby’s mother, one Maria Ahmadu, aged 26, allegedly gave her child to Oge to sell. This led to the arrest of the young mother,” he said.

The spokesperson of the Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest on Saturday in a statement.
