WORCESTER - Not only did Joyner Lucas proudly declare that “Worcester, Massachusetts, will always be my home” to an enthusiastic crowd in front of City Hall, now the two-time Grammy Award-nominated rapper has a key to open it and walk through the front door.
Traveling with his entourage of immediate family, close friends and an old high school teacher and arriving in an eye-catching, all-terrain amphibious Sherp vehicle with wheels taller than most of his fans who gathered outside, Lucas was in town to receive the Key to the City. And he was deeply honored.
Inside the mayor’s office, Lucas said it felt amazing to receive the Key to the City.
