Olivia Lynn Chastain Ridgeway, age 64, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away from a short illness on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, April 8, 11:00 AM at Towaliga Baptist Church, 160 Towaliga Church Rd. Jackson, Georgia. Rev. Ed Steil will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 9:45 until 10:45 immediately prior to the service at the Church. The Board of Education announced that Dr. Josh Lowe will be Forsyth Central High School’s principal beginning in the 2021-22 school year.
Lowe, currently serving as the school’s assistant principal, has worked in public education for more than 20 years. Moving from his hometown in Dalton, he began his career as a teacher and coach in other districts. He then moved up into administrative roles, serving as an athletic director and as an assistant principal at Jackson High School.

WOODSTOCK, GA A Woodstock High School senior has won a statewide design contest, earning a grant for her school s graphic design program.
Savannah Huff created the top design entered into the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals rebranding contest. Middle and high school students in CTAE (Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education) classes across the state had the opportunity to design a new logo for the professional association.
