It's going down. we're yelling timber! Join GPB Education and the Georgia Forestry Foundation for a live exploration of Georgia's forests. On May 7th from 10-10:30 am ET, we'll be live streaming this educational program from The Jones Center at Ichauway in Newton, Georgia. With Georgia's Forests Live Exploration, students will uncover the life cycle of a tree, investigate prescribed fires, discover the myriad of forestry products, and unearth what makes Georgia the #1 forestry state in the country. This event will include interactive elements, such as polls and experts who will be available to answer students' questions. Use the hashtag #ForestsLive to participate in the conversation. Georgia's Forests Live Exploration will be available on demand online after May 7th with supplemental classroom resources for grades K-12. This program will be televised on GPB-TV and live streamed on gpb.org/trees.
