A young Mackay student who had eight drinks before getting behind the wheel for a snack was slammed for her “disturbing” behaviour.
Mackay Magistrates Court heard 21-year-old Georgia Gemma King returned a blood-alcohol reading of 0.172 in the early hours of April 2.
Prosecutor Harry Coburn said Mackay police found the nursing student sitting beside her car, which had a flat tyre, at 1.25am along Broadsound Street in Paget.
He said King had earlier drank a six-pack of beer as well as two flutes of wine over five hours after returning home from work to her Walkerston home.
