If you hadn t yet noticed, Viking survival game Valheim is really hitting the big time - and after selling 3m copies in 16 days, it s now reached a concurrent player peak of over 500k. Not bad for a dev team of only five people.
According to Steam Charts, yesterday Valheim hit a milestone of 502,387 concurrent players, putting it up there with some pretty massive games. Only four other titles have ever achieved a concurrent peak of over 500k: PUBG, CS:GO, Dota 2 and Cyberpunk 2077. That means Valheim has achieved a higher player peak than Terraria, Fallout 4 and Among Us (although it s worth noting that many of these games released on several platforms - Among Us was hugely popular on mobile, pushing it to an overall peak of 1.5m).

Iron in Valheim explained
Players will start to see the importance of Iron in Valheim after they craft Bronze tools and armour. After beating the first boss Eikthyr, players will receive the means to craft an Antler Pickaxe and with it, they can mine ores.
Found in The Black Forest biome, Tin and Copper are the first resources you can mine. When they are smelted and combined, they produce Bronze. Using a forge, you can melt Bronze to craft powerful weapons, tools and armour.
These items are sturdy and will serve you well up until you defeat the game s second boss The Elder, who is the overlord of The Black Forest biome.
