After 120-year-old Dholi Devi at Ghar Katiyas in Dudu tehsil of Udhampur district of J&K inspired inhabitants of the mountainous belt of Udhampur, Doda, Ramban and Reasi, now 124-year-old Rehtee Begum of village Shrakwara of block Wagoora Baramulla received her first COVID vaccine dose during the door-to-door vaccination campaign.

Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], May 21 (ANI): Northern Command of Indian Army on Friday felicitated the centenarian woman Dholi Devi who took her first COVID-19 vaccine jab on Wednesday in Jammu and Kashmir s Udhampur.
The 120-year-old lives in Udhampur s Dudu.
The Army called her a living legend and inspiration for villagers.
Lieutenant General YK Joshi led the felicitation program. Northern Command appreciates frontline workers for undertaking COVID-19 vaccination drive to remotest areas, the Army said in a tweet.
Devi, a resident of Ghar Katiyas village of Sub Division Drudu, Tehsil Latti, had taken the dose at a camp held by the Udhampur district administration.

The Government of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the Army authorities of the Northern Command have acknowledged the motivational role played by the super-centenarian woman, who has taken the first jab of COVID vaccination to allay fears and hesitancy among the people.
Recognizing the inspirational role played by the living legend Dholi Devi, 120-year-old, Lt General Y K Joshi, Northern Army Commander, spared time from his busy schedule to felicitate the brave lady.
The GOC-in-C, Northern Command visited the residence of Dholi Devi at Ghar Katiyas in Dudu tehsil of Udhampur district of J&K. Dholi Devi has single handily inspired an entire village to make the COVID vaccination drive a huge success.

An official said Dholi Devi, 120, a resident of village Ghar Katiyas of Sub Division Drudu, Tehsil Latti in Udhampur, was administered her first dose at a vaccination camp. “Ms. Devi has set an example for younger people,” the official said.
