Norwalk’s historical Hour Press Building will be featured in an episode of “American Pickers” on The History Channel at 9 p.m. Monday Jan. 25, according to a press release. Said to be more than a century old, the edifice provides fertile territory for the series’ stars, two partners who travel the U.S. in search of forgotten antiques.

comes to keeping minors from drinking. the chicago tribune reports 24 municipalities have approved a social host law that will penalize any adult who allows a minor to drink or use drugs. if convicted the supervising adult could face up to six months behind bars. the tribune quotes a 17-year-old young lady whose brother died in an alcohol-related accident. now she is warning parents and other teenagers about the dangers of buying alcohol for kids. she said in part, quote, parents need to stand up to their children. a lot of parents want to be friends. but the tribune writer lisa black points out not everyone is supporting this social host law, calling the law intrusive. in fact, one community, they actually decided against pursuing the law. the village president saying because of the divide. this is his quote. the argument that parents have, which is a well-meaning argument, is, look, they are my kids. i can decide what to do. if they are drinking in my barn, i know where they ar
