Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu claimed he received a threat call from an unknown caller. "The caller said I should stop speaking against Amritpal Singh or else face dire consequences," the MP said.

Bittu, a three-time MP, is the grandson of Beant Singh who was assassinated in 1995.

Bittu, who has been elected to the Parliament three times, is the grandson of the former Chief Minister of Punjab, Beant Singh, who was assassinated in 1995.

Congress' Ludhiana MP and former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh's grandson Ravneet Singh Bittu on Sunday claimed to have received a call threatening him of dire consequences if he did not stop speaking against preacher and Khalistani sympathizer.

The Court of Sessions Judge Munish Singal has convicted Sachin Sharma, a resident of Ghumar Mandi, Ludhiana, for snatching the purse of a woman which contained a mobile phone, Rs 2,200 in cash and a debit card.
