About 41,700 speeding citations were issued in 10 of the city’s school zones during the first three months of the program, which started in September. In one South Atlanta zone alone, more than 15,800 citations were issued.

Metro Atlanta drivers can expect a ticket in the mail if newly-installed speed cameras clock them going over 25 miles per hour in some Atlanta Public School zones.

Tickets will now be issued starting Monday morning for those who speed inside Atlanta Public Schools zones after speeding cameras were installed.
