like business too much. but the economy is simply the product of all the businesses of the nation added together. so its a bit like saying you like an omelet, but you dont like eggs. you know, to build a strong economy that provides good jobs >> will you meet the snare, overcome the demon in the woods, and actually get to the white house? and i think what -- to go to your point a second ago, i think what you say from what mike and evan have done, is that romney probably could have u...

The gallup poll asked those supporting gingrich who would you vote for if he dropped out? 40% said san season and 40% said romney. >> sean: you dont think a united front as non-romney alternative? >> the two would unite but the vote would not carry over to santorum. that would have been effective strategy before florida. but by now its way too late. look, romney is going to win eight primaries in a row probably including pennsylvania. santorum cant stay in the race after that. >> sean: you know ...

Campaign fatigue. its been going on for the better part of a year and a half. romney has a big lead and these endorsements signal that the people who really fashion opinions on the right on the g.o.p. want it to be romney now. >> shepard: newt gingrich, ron paul and rick santorum all say they are staying in the race. according to your reporting and that of many analysts they have little or no chance of winning. so, one might ask, whats the point? >> >> in the case of newt gingrich he has now sai...

Santorum will watch the returns with pennsylvania. he represented the state for 18 years in the house and senate and needs a big win there. but double-digit lead over romney is shrinking. the latest quinnipiac poll has them up six points. with the romney ad blitz about to begin, a third of republicans say they could change their mind. gingrich is in dire financial straits. gingrich went all in on alabama and mississippi and came up third. insiders say $1 million of gengs new debt is for security...

That was ruled liberal. >> supreme court will take care of that part now. >> maybe not. president romney will repeal it. >> dont you remember four short years ago when clinton and obama went at each other and thats exactly how the republicans got themselves in this situation because they changed the way in which the votes got to the delegates because they wanted that increased energy so why is it a bad thing now? >> i dont know that it -- that it -- i dont know that it was a good thing in 2004 f...

2008. should we all pitch in for a teleprompter for him? >> i think michael steele would be better to talk about that since he was the one who basically changed the rules for the republicans and didnt give their candidate any real cover this cycle as far as how the process would go. this campaign is entering what is called the zo. by phase for two of the three candidates left. gingrich entered the zombie stage a couple weeks ago after the southern primaries. you basically are the walking dead at...

Its time now to clear the air and after months of what seems like a month-long street brawl, mitt romney is trying very hard to get the nomination for -- even before winning in november four years ago and throughout his tenure in the white house, several republicans have often allowed americans to question the authenticity of the presidents christian faith. less than two weeks ago, during a question and answer session in louisiana, newt gingrich failed to correct a man who stood up and said this...

Opportunity to respond to that slight dig at you youre to blame for this drawn out violent republican nomination race. your response? >> the only thing we did was extend the time he got to play. >> thats what i thought. and how you play the game has nothing to do with the time on the clock. it is all about how you organize and how you put your best foot forward as a candidate for the presidency. the reality of it is for santorum. he needed michigan. he needed ohio to set up wisconsin. and that d...

a cutter has made its way to the yacht and at least two of the injured have been moved to a smaller ship. i want to go now by telephone to coast guard petty officer caleb critchfield. sir, thank you very much. were you able to get help out? >> yes, we were. the coast guard cutter is on scene. they deployed their small response boat to go out to the yacht, and we were able to recover two of the injured people and get them on board the small boat. >> okay. so they are on scene right now ...
