Augment, a startup developing an AI-powered platform similar to GitHub's Copilot, has launched out of stealth valued at nearly $1 billion.

"Generative AI can be a game-changer for virtually every business in every industry, opening up new possibilities for innovation, efficiency and growth," Ravi Kumar S., CEO, Cognizant, said in a statement.

This strategic investment is geared towards boosting productivity, streamlining processes, and redefining customer interactions.

Besides internal usage, Cognizant will work to deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot to a million users within their global 2000 clients and across 11 industries.
