campus shooting has rocked a small christian university. you can see, the campus is crawling with police and emergency crews. this is what we know so far. three miles north of down toun. police say a man walked into a building and opened fire. just as he was reloading, staff members were able to take the gun away from him, but it's still unclear how. four people were hurt. one of those people ended up dying at the hocht. the gunman is in custody. we don't know his identity yet or the motive. we're going to continue to follow the story and bring you the very latest as it comes in. >> a rare and disturbingsighted in sunnyvale today. officers in full force for a suspect wanted in murder. the name of the person who was shot dead is 53-year-old glen briggs. now, he lived in the house down here on the corner. that's where the shooting happened inside the house. you can see officers are still investigating at this hour and collecting evidence. griggs is accused of killing a woman who lived 234 the hougs with him last year. >> i heard the gunfiring and then we saw the police and we got escorted down a side street. >> officers shot and killed one of her neighbors. investigators say they came to his home on fairoaks avenue to arrest him for murder. >> the knock on the door tried to make contact with the person that was named in the warrant. the person ignored orders and displayed a weapon. that's when officers forced their way in the home and shot the man. he's suspected of murdering a woman he knew. >> it evolves from a missing persons case when more information came to light that there might have been something more involved with the disappearance. they everyone brought in a fire truck to take photos of the scene from a birds eye view. >> we have also just learned that griggs is accused of killing molly frank amount. investigators are not sure whether she was a girlfriend or possibly a roommate. she lived there last year and she was reported missing in may of 2013. but, again, officers say that her body has never been found. reporting live in sunnyvalenbc bay area news. >> some tense moments 234 san francisco. a woman slammed into a police cruiser. a chopper over the scene in the bayview district. this happened late this afternoon. officers say they asked her to get out of the car when they got a report that that car might be stolen. they say that's when the driver put her vehicle in reverse and hit the patrol car. a few blocks later, she hit that parked truck. >> a quiet neighborhood in san jose found someone dead. when homicide investigators showed up, they found that the man had been stabbed. his name has not yet been released. authorities have been canvassing the area for witnesses. this is the 18th homicide of the year. >> love lost and love for some people. multiple tenth and 11th grade students admitted someone had snapped a photo. something was fishy when students submitted a two hour test in half an hour. >> and we decided that we would not count any of the finals. so that would put everybody back to the grade that they had prior to taking the final last week. >> this isn't the first time. the school paper reported students cheated on multiple ap tests. >> the teachers have been saying it's going on throughout the whole year, but it's prominent in the second smes ere. >> their advice to incoming freshman? relax. >> being a good person is going to help you a lot more. >> great advice. now, they have the option of retaking it. but the big option is the school is thinking of revising the cheating policy. >> roughly 4,000 homecare providers rallied outside the state capitol today urging governor brown to give back overtime hours. the governor's advocates estimate 258,000 care givers 234 the state rely on overtime to triple dichblgts. this is really going to be the determining factor on who get it is hottest. many of you know in the bay area, when you get a directional wind, it is cooler. and even though we had an on shore win in pleasanton, it's too short. notice the wind arrows. they're still staying primarily out of the west. that keeps the weather at the coast. we'll heat up a few degrees there. then, as we head throughout saturday, it looks like a little bit of warming. pleasantton, expecting 98. it's goimpk to be a wide, varying forecast over the next couple days. san jose, 87 degrees and sunny skies. for the peninsula, 75 in san mateo. you get away from that close to the coast, it's 650 in the valley. hottest walnut creek at 94. pleasanton, 95 degrees. it's the hottest in the forecast. san francisco, 74, 75. and for the trivalley, 98 on saturday and 100 as you head throughout sunday. if you want some relief in this hundred degree heat, you can head to santa cruz. >> thanks so much,
