Government report indicates Russian Hackers were able to breach a Voting Software supplier. Just before last years election. U. S. Intelligence maintains the attacks did not affect the collection but the cyber attack described by the National Security agency seems to go further than a previous assessment of russian hacking efforts. Jeff pegues has the details. Reporter according to the nsa report the intercept hackers from Russian Military intelligence were trying to access Voter Registration information days before the election. The hackers stole user credentials from u. S. Election Software Company in florida. They then used those credentials to send fake emails to 122 local government officials, probably involved in the management of Voter Registration systems.
