People on ventilators. These are people who have been in the hospital for quite some time now, and unfortunately, not getting better. I spoke to an emergency room doctor this morning who said while theyre not seeing the same number of people that are coming in to the hospital, theyre still very busy. Theres still a lot of patients at the hospital, a lot of patients on ventilators, a lot of patients who theyre really trying to save their lives, some experimental treatments that theyre trying. Its really busy inside new york city hospitals. Also, think about the number of dead, you know. That number continues to climb. And as the governor said, thats to be expected, given the fact that a lot of the people who are dying have been on ventilators for quite some time, have been some of the most critical ill in all of this. Stephen pearson, who died from coronavirus over the weekend aged 51 was devoted to his wife and two daughters. He was also a Mental Health nurse who had given the nhs in the north east of england more than 30 years service. His younger daughter bethany told me about their shock.
