We reported several weeks ago that Davey Richards would be returning to the ring shortly. Now, Global Syndicate Wrestling (GSW) took to Twitter on Friday, announcing that Richards will be appearing on their May 22nd show, which will be titled “Catalyst”. As of this writing, there is no word on who he’ll be facing.
Richards last worked a match in July of 2017 at CZW EVILution. He wound up leaving the pro wrestling business due to some knee injuries and to pursue a career as a doctor.
For the last few days, fans all over the internet have been talking about the return of The Lone Wolf Davey Richards.

Global Syndicate Wrestling announced this afternoon that Richards would be returning to pro wrestling for their promotion, appearing on their GSW Catalyst event that will air on May 22 on Fite TV. No opponent has been named.
PWInsider reported on April 6 that Richards was close to agreeing to a deal with GSW to make a return to wrestling.
Richards has not wrestled since 2017, when he lost the CZW World title to Shane Strickland (now Isiah “Swerve” Scott in WWE) in a four-way that also involved Joe Gacy and Lio Rush. He had been working CZW, Impact, and the independents prior to his departure from wrestling.
