so i ask you frankly is it mental health or is it just people just topght commit crimes more on cause harm. i can assure you anybody out committing offenses are not psychologically well and well adjusted and likely most if not all could be diagnosed with at least one diagnosis. but on that flipside of that, there are certainly plenty of mentally ill people who aren t violent who don t commit crimes. and we actually have plenty of statistics to suggest that people with severe mental illness more likely to be victim of violent crime than perpetrators. obviously there are cases such as apparently the man who attacked ms. gomes with a significant mental health history as well as criminal record.
