In san jose after a suspect is shot by Police Officers were learning the man was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries. Well, there are about a half a dozen investigators still out here tonight. Police say that no officers were hurt and that this all started when they got a call that a man was firing a gun in the neighborhood. And neighbors here on karma drive tell us they heard several shots fired around four this afternoon. San jose police say they were called to the area. Officers responded to the 2700 block of kohlmeyer avenue for a report of a person actively discharging a firearm. When officers arrived on scene, the suspect was still actively discharging a firearm, prompting an officer involved shooting. Police say the man shot suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, and no one else was hurt. Investigators are

Right now, several lanes between san ramon and pleasanton remain closed. That includes three southbound lanes of 680 between acosta boulevard and the five 8680 interchange in pleasanton, as well as one northbound lane. But crews are making progress in. Caltrans says the road is set to open on time tomorrow at 4 a. M. Before your morning commute, and these same lanes will be closed again two weekends from now, may 31st through june 3rd. But some good news a project is almost finished. This is part of ongoing roadwork that has intermittently closed the highway for weekends, dating back to december of 2022. June 3rd.
