Smaller vaccination clinics focus on minority groups
About 130 residents received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday at the Asian Community and Cultural Center in Lincoln.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Tuesday marked the first of the smaller vaccination clinics the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department is now holding to ensure every resident, no matter what race or ethnicity, gets the shot if they choose.
“The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department is holding smaller clinics for residents who are both served by our cultural community centers and are currently eligible for the vaccine,” Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird said.
About 130 residents received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday at the Asian Community and Cultural Center in Lincoln. Officials working the clinic said there was a lot of excitement in the air.
