Restaurant openings in Rhode Island have not slowed, pandemic or not.
Four brand new ones are getting ready to open in coming weeks and months. Plus new owners have bought a 20-year-old cafe and bakery that they will reopen in March.
The new businesses include a downtown Providence soul food restaurant, a bistro from three friends including the executive chef at Capital Grille, a Spanish eatery from the owners of Bacaro and a Warren restaurant with a low country menu.
The Village Hearth Bakery and Cafe in Jamestown has new owners, a couple who have relocated from Atlanta.
Each of the four new restaurants replace ones that have closed, three in 2020.
