Flood alert remains for South Forty Foot Drain which covers Twenty, West Pinchbeck, Gosberton Clough, Swineshead and Kirton

A flood alert remains in place this morning for parts of South Holland.
The Government Flood Warning System says that flooding is possible for the South Forty Foot Drain area, which includes Twenty, West Pinchbeck, Gosberton Clough, Swineshead and Kirton.
Flood alerts were were in place for the Lower Welland, Lower Glen and Bourne Eau systems yesterday have now been lifted.

The flood alert states: Over the last few days we have seen heavy rainfall in the South Forty Foot Drain area. This has caused river levels to rise which has led to flooding of low lying land and roads close to the river.
