About the role: This is a 12 months replacement role based in Bangui, CAR with a pro rata salary of 39 128 € to 43 476 € and benefits.
You will report to the Programme Director (PD). You work closely with the Programme Support Officer (PSO), the Compliance and Internal Auditor, the Area Coordinators, and Programme Managers for health and nutrition, WASH, food security, cash, social cohesion and gender equality as well as the monitoring and evaluation team. The role will include frequent travel to the programme areas.
We would like you to start in July 2021.
Your purpose: Your will oversee the grants development and management processes, working in collaboration with the area coordinators and programme managers to develop concept notes and proposals, to produce high quality donor reporting and ensure strong compliance with donor requirements. You will support the development of funding proposals, verifying that they are in line with donor and call guidelines. You w

are in place and regularly monitored and ensuring that they are revised as needed to ensure a timely closure of assigned grants / activities.
• Ensure program lead working on Tigray BHA, raise PRs in a timely manner, track relevant PR’s and closely follow up to ensure timely delivery / provision.
• Track all Tigray BHA related recruitment to ensure PRF along with required supporting documents and approvals are submitted in advance and that there is proactive follow up by hiring manager and Recruitment Unit.
• Support the Grants Department to conduct regular Grant Management Meetings, in Addis and in the Field.
Background:
The IRC has been working in Uganda since 1998 supporting IDPs, refugees and various institutions in the country notably the government, community based organizations, the civil society and the private sector. The current program portfolio in Uganda includes health and nutrition, support to persons with specific needs (PSNs) including case management, legal assistance to refugees, prevention and response to gender-based violence, and economic recovery and development. The IRC has a country office in Kampala and field offices in Amudat, Imvepi, Kyegegwa, Lamwo, Moroto and Yumbe, as well as an urban office in Nsambya within Kampala.
