The Cougars' Henri McCourt and Leavitt's Logan Ouellette added freestyle championships to the classical titles they won a day earlier.

McCourt is the Class A champ and Ouellette the Class B winner on day one of the state championships.

The Cougars have solid depth on both the boys and girls teams as they pursue a state title in Class A. The Hornets face some stiff competition for the Class B crown.

Cougars senior Emma Charles sweeps the classical and freestyle races for the third time in her career. Maranacook, Yarmouth, Mt. Abram and Fort Kent also win team titles.
