There s one holiday tradition that without fail Elgin resident Mally Miceli never misses: participating in a sing-along Messiah. "For years, my family and I would trek to Chicago to participate in the annual sing-along," Miceli said. "About four years ago, we were driving back from the city and my daughter asked, why don t we do this in Elgin? "
Grab your friends, celebrate the holidays, and raise your voices at the premiere of the Greater Elgin Sing-Along Handel’s Messiah on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, at 7 p.m. at the Blizzard Theater at Elgin Community College. <br/><br/>This free, interactive community sing-along will raise awareness and funding for Food For Greater Elgin while showcasing the talent of Elgin-area musicians and vocalists, including the Elgin Symphony Orchestra, the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Judson Civic Choir, the Judson University Choir, Midwest Opera Theater, the Larkin High School Concert Choir, and several local church choirs. <br/><br/>No experience is necessary to participate; chorus scores will be available at the door.
