Hydroelectric and solar power purchases will boost Appalachian State University’s percentage of electricity supplied from renewables from 2% to 18% in early 2022.

Not only will this plan be helpful for customers, but it will help Idaho Power meet its goal of providing 100% clean energy by 2024.

As the UN climate conference is taking place, UCLA Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Professor Alex Hall tells KCRW, “There are so many great opportunities around sustainability and climate, but the ones that work the best are the ones that rebuild community, because that’s something we need a lot of too.
