LOWELL — Two significant housing development projects will bring more than 100 apartments and affordable housing units, and almost 200 more cars, to the densely populated and high-traffic West Sixth St. corridor of the city's Centralville neighborhood.

LOWELL — The School Committee heard from Interim Superintendent of Schools Liam Skinner that the UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center may be used as a way station for migrant families in preparation for permanent living placements, although he cautioned that all the information that he has is “speculation” based on information from community partners.
