Mortal Kombat "Spinoff" Mortal Thumbat Revealed During HBO Max Watch Party
A Mortal Kombat movie "spin-off" has been revealed, dubbed Mortal Thumbat. During the HBO Max Watch Party for the movie -- which, at the moment of writing this is still going -- Ludi Lin, who play Liu Kanvg, revealed the aforementioned and unofficial spin-off, which runs at one minute long and features the thumb war version of the
Mortal Kombat Tournament.
As you would expect, Mortal Thumbat does not feature the movie's entire cast, but it does feature the actors and actresses behind several prominent characters, such as Liu Kang, Mileena, Sub-Zero, Kung Lao, and the movie's greatest character, Reiko.

Mortal Kombat Fans Notice Impressive Sub-Zero Details in New Movie Images

Mortal Kombat movie just recently got its first batch of images to show off first looks at how its cast will portray the iconic fighters and already people are recognizing impressive levels of detail in the character designs. One of the things people pointed out was Sub-Zero’s ice blade which just looks like a frigid sword at first glance but actually closely matches what we’ve seen from the games upon giving it a closer look. Mortal Kombat movie, applauded those who caught the detail and said that the design and the comparison presented by one Mortal Kombat fan was absolutely intentional.
Todd Garner, the film producer for
Mortal Kombat, has promised a trailer for the movie will be released ‘in the new year’. He also apologised to fans for the delay when he shared the new poster.

Last year it was also confirmed that the film would receive an R rating and show the iconic Fatalities feature “on the big screen”.
