The Carroll Fire Department responded to a relatively small grass fire south of town on Sunday afternoon. Chief Greg Schreck says they were called to the 23000 block of 215 th Street at approximately 4:36 p.m. No property damage occurred from the fire that involved a portion of an acreage grove and a field terrace. No one was home and no injuries were reported in an apartment fire on Saturday morning. Carroll Fire Chief, Greg Schreck, says the call came in at approximately 9:07 a.m. about smoke filling the hallways from apartment #7 at 1921 N. Randall Rd. Firefighters entered the apartment and conducted a search for occupants and found none.
