Traffic is now flowing freely on the A483 both ways following earlier reports of very slow traffic both ways in the roadworks area of the A483.

There is very slow traffic this morning on the A483 both ways as we come into day four of the nine weeks planned roadworks along the route.

A train fire in Wrexham caused a stretch of the A483 to close and brought rail service between Chester and Wrexham general to a halt.

A lane has been closed on the A483 as a result of a broken down HGV.

ESSENTIAL work is to take place on the A483 in Wrexham to increase the length of two central reserve crossovers together with drainage and barrier upgrades. The works, between junctions 5 and 7, will begin on June 1 and are programmed to take six weeks. These crossover improvements are vital to ensure contra-flow arrangements are in place to facilitate future carriageway resurfacing work.
