Red Can Man eyes off another Group Three
HORSE RACING
DAVID Brideoake will be looking to land back-to-back Group Three successes with his newly acquired sprinter Red Can Man on Saturday.
The former Western Australian sprinter has had two runs under the Mornington-based trainers care, with his most recent resulting in a gusty long-neck victory in the Group Three Sir John Monash Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield.
He’ll be looking to continue his successful run at the track on Saturday when he lines up in the Group Three Bletchingly Stakes (1200m).
Looking to take substantial improvement from his first-up run when finishing beyond midfield at Flemington, Brideoake believes the gelding relished getting onto a firmer surface second-up and gained plenty of fitness from his first-up outing.

Elite Perth sprinter set for Black Caviar Lightning Stakes Posted by: Mediality Racing+ at 1:43pm on 12/2/2021
Trainer Danny Morton has declared he will be doing cartwheels if star Perth sprinter Elite Street can win the Group One Black Caviar Lightning.
But Morton won’t be doing them at Flemington, or even back at his home track of Ascot.
He will instead be performing them in a Melbourne street as due to Racing Victoria’s COVID-19 restrictions, he is not allowed to be trackside at Flemington.
Morton has been in Melbourne since last Sunday but is not permitted to visit a racing stable or track until this Sunday, so he has had to liaise with Caulfield trainer Nick Ryan over the training of Elite Street.
