In my district i have had many constituents contact my office with noise complaints. And after reporting those to the department of Public Health, my office found that many city agencies have overlapping authority over different aspects of the law and making it difficult to figure out who is supposed to enforce what. Furthermore, Technology Improvements to how noise is understood and measured having evolved since the ordinance was last revised. The purpose of the working group will be to suggest potential solutions to improve how the manage noise issues within our city family. I expect that will come with this time limited working group to make recommendations for revisions to existing noise ordinance and or develop citywide policies to guide interpretation and implementation of the existing law.
