Alpine F1 Team Principal Cyril Abiteboul Out as Part of Major Shake-Up

Cyril Abiteboul led Renault F1 team to a second straight fifth-place finish in the Formula 1 Constructors Championship in 2020.
Laurent Rossi was named vice president of Corporate Strategy and Business Development at Renault in 2019.
Abiteboul had been part of the Renault F1 team since 2007.
There has been a big shake-up at Alpine with Laurent Rossi being named as the CEO of the company and in charge of the company’s sporting activities, including the Formula 1 team. The news is a surprise.
