Council is expected to vote at its Monday meeting to re-authorize the funds to establish five new workforce development programs.

The council vote came nearly a year after the body initiated a process to decide how to spend $10.37 million in American Rescue Plan Act money.

The city conducted a competitive selection process last fall but it was canceled after an audit found multiple defects and problems in the process.
