PATIALA: A few days before the start of Shaheedi Sabha in Fatehgarh Sahib, the district administration has made Covid test mandatory for organisers of ‘langar’ (community kitchen). Langar will be organised at more than 300 places during the three-day Shaheedi Sabha.
Langar during Shaheedi Sabha is organised in a 4-5km area of Gurudwara Sahib, Fatehgarh Sahib, and on roads to Fatehgarh Sahib district.
During the three-day Shaheedi Sabha, the martyrdom of two younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh and Guru’s mother is observed and pilgrims pay obeisance at Gurudwara Jyoti Sarup and Gurudwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib. Pilgrims also visit the historical Todar Mal Haweli, the restoration of which has been left to the mercy of the SGPC. “We have got 360 applications for organisation of langar and nod has been given to them. Those involved in preparation and serving langar would get tested for Covid and will follow norms of health department,” said Karam Singh, manager of Gurudwara Fate
