A man who tried to carjack two vehicles and break into a house in the Buford area Monday, Feb. 1 was thwarted at every turn by his intended victims.
Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Collin Flynn said Lamont Dickerson first tried to carjack a vehicle on South Puckett Road near Ridge Road. He said officers were called to the scene just before 5 a.m. Officers learned that the victim was sitting in his car when he was approached by Dickerson, who opened the victim’s car door and ordered him to get out, Flynn said in a media statement. The victim accelerated away from Dickerson, who then attempted to carjack a second vehicle near Ridge Road and Hamilton Mill Road.
