The largest and heaviest module - the CA20 - has been installed at unit 4 of the Haiyang nuclear power plant in China's Shandong province, the Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute has announced.
While the East Chinese city of Haiyang s adaptation of nuclear power plant residual steam - China s first city to do so to heat homes - has triggered certain safety concerns, experts and industry insiders have dispelled such concern in recent days, stressing that the heating process does not involve exchanging hot water or radioactive substances, and thus is ultra safe and reliable.
Haiyang, a city in eastern China’s Shandong Province, has become the first city in the country to be fully heated by nuclear power, making it the only “zero carbon” city in China.
