4 killed, 23 injured in fire at chemical warehouse in Dhaka ANI | Updated: Apr 24, 2021 07:20 IST
Dhaka [Bangladesh], April 24 (ANI): At least four people were killed and 23 were injured, including fire service officials, in a fire that broke out at a chemical warehouse in Old Dhaka s Armanitola.
The fire started at the ground floor of a six-storey building named Haji Musa Mansion at 3:18 am (local time) on Friday, Dhaka Tribune quoted Mahfuz Riben, duty officer at the control room of Fire Service and Civil Defence, as saying. Various sorts of chemical substances were stored at the ground floor, he said.
He further stated that nineteen firefighting units brought the blaze under control at 6:08 am (local time).

DHAKA, Apr 24, 2021 (BSS) – A Dhaka court has fixed June 10 for the submission of investigation report in the case filed against eight people, including the owner of the building ‘Haji Musa Mansion’ in Old Dhaka’s Armanitola and the chemical go-down owners, in connection with the deadly fire that broke out on Friday.
Today, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Mahmuda Akhter accepted the statement of case and fixed the date for submission of report.
Earlier on Friday, Bangshal Police Station SI Mohammad Ali Sikder filed a case against eight. Another 10-15 unidentified persons were also made accused in the case.
