Prayagraj: The Allahabad high court on Wednesday issued bailable warrant to Dr Uttiya Bhattacharya, executive director/state head UPSO-1 of the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) in a contempt matter for non-compliance of court order and fixed August 9 for his appearance before the court.
Hearing a contempt application filed by M/s Haji Sons, a dealer of Indian Oil Corporation at Jhansi, Justice Prakash Padia directed to serve the warrant through the chief judicial magistrate (CJM), Lucknow.
In the contempt petition, it was alleged that in spite of the court order dated January 27, 2021 to decide the case of the petitioner regarding cancellation of his dealership of Indian Oil Corporation, no order has been passed.
