North Side High School parents learned a student brought a gun to the building Monday – the fourth incident of a firearm being found on Fort Wayne Community Schools property

Although Fort Wayne Community Schools’ board president believes the district has “strong policies” in place, she said further scrutiny could be necessary following a recent series of gun-related incidents.

Students found a gun on Haley Elementary’s playground Wednesday after a student brought the weapon to the school, officials said.
