An international pub called 507 Pub(lic) House is expected to open in the ex-Half Barrel Bar and Kitchen space at 304 First Ave. in downtown Rochester. Owner Tim Ross hopes to launch by mid-July.

Chef Bojji restaurant at 301 N. Broadway in Rochester, Minnesota recently announced that they will be closing at the end of June.

Chef Youness and Amber Bojji announced on social media that they will be closing Chez Bojji at the end June. Chez Bojji is located at the edge of downtown in the Avalon Building at 301 N. Broadway.

In January, I noticed several social media posts saying the Half Barrel was closed for good and reached out to the restaurant for confirmation. I didn’t receive a response but did see a “closed for kitchen remodel” sign hanging on their door. That sign has been up for months but will be coming down today because a new restaurant is taking over that location! 507 Public House will open in July and feature from scratch food and a full bar.
