Reporter julie, were just outside the Star Line Social Club here in downtown oakland. The fundraiser started about an hour ago, and people are asked to donate 10 or more at the door. Were told that all the proceeds will go to fire victims. Our camera wasnt allowed inside, but we were able to talk to folks just outside the venue. The fundraiser offers live music to accompany the documentary film. This was a preplanned event, they decided to turn into a benefit for the victims. He lost friends in the fire, and also knows survivers. Right now, people need each other, and communities are very, very important. Reporter people came to help in any way they can.
