The US eVTOL community recently took an incremental, but significant step forward when AIR announced its next phase of participation in the US Air Force’s AFWERX Agility Prime Program. Of importance to Halldale Group’s MS&T and CAT followers, while AIR is creating eVTOLs for the consumer market, it concurrently completed Agility Prime’s third phase and is now under a formal agreement to continue future work with the government customer.

This January 2 at 1747 local (Japan Standard Time) a Japan Airlines Airbus A350-900, operating as Flight 516, collided with a Japan Coast Guard De Havilland Canada Dash 8 and caught fire while landing on Runway 34R at Haneda Airport in Tokyo. The runway collision resulted in the deaths of five of the six crew members onboard the Japan Coast Guard Dash. All 367 passengers and 12 crew members on-board the JAL aircraft evacuated.

BAE Systems’ Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) is the US Marine Corps’ next generation vehicle designed to move Marines from ship to shore. The ACV is a full replacement for the aging Amphibious Assault Vehicle, the ACV will be the primary means of tactical mobility for the Marine infantry battalion at sea and ashore.
