JANESVILLE, Wis. Vaccinations for unaffiliated front line health care workers in Rock County are now underway at Mercyhealth.
The Janesville-based health care provider began reviewing requests from throughout Rock County this week.
Within four hours on Thursday, Mercyhealth vaccinated 400 people, including emergency medical services providers, dental and chiropractic offices, school nurses and more.
Dr. Chris Hammer (pictured above) and his team from Hammer Chiropractic in Milton, Wisconsin were among the group to get vaccinated.
While vaccine supplies are still limited, public health officials said social distancing, wearing face masks and avoiding gathering with people outside of your household are easy steps anyone can take to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
