A study has warned that synthetic chemicals, also known as ‘forever chemicals’, commonly found in food packaging and some kitchen utensils can increase the chances of a person contracting cancer by more than four-fold.
These man-made chemicals, called perfluooctane sulfate (PFAS), are used in a wide range of consumer and industrial products from non-stick cookware, tap water, seafood, waterproof clothing, cleaning products and even shampoo.
