DOVER – More than 12 police officers responded to a call about an armed man inside a public housing unit at Whittier Falls early Friday afternoon.
But after surrounding a home with guns drawn, police determined the report was a false alarm, according to Dover police Capt. Brad Gould.
“It turned out to be nothing,” Gould said.
Police received a phone call shortly before noon from a resident on Hampshire Circle in Whittier Falls, Gould said.
That person told police dispatch they had received a text that there was an armed man inside a Hampshire Circle home refusing to leave, Gould said.
