Hampton man dies from injuries sustained in head-on crash Portsmouth Herald Police announced Tuesday that 67-year-old Frank Shedd died March 2 at 3:02 p.m. Police said the crash occurred at 12:22 p.m., Monday, Feb. 22 on Atlantic Avenue, on the rail-trail overpass, just east of 233 Atlantic Avenue. HAMPTON – A former president of the International Association of Fire Chiefs will be coming to Hampton to perform a study of the town’s Fire Department as the fire chiefs leadership is being questioned by the firefighters union. A fire was discovered inside a Hampton home during a real estate inspection on Thursday, according to the Hampton Fire Department.
