Officials said the fire started at Anna's Pizza on Wednesday afternoon, and that it was closed at the time.

Hampton Police is investigating an early morning shooting that left a 56-year-old man injured on Friday.

“Anna’s” was all that remained of the local restaurant’s front signage. The roof, which should be stretched from the pizza place to the neighboring Chinese restaurant, instead sagged between the scorched remains of the two businesses.

A two-alarm fire broke out in Hampton Wednesday, leaving at least four businesses damaged.

Crews responded to the 100 Block of Santa Clara Drive just after 11 a.m., and saw smoke and flames when coming from the house when they arrived.

The leak was at Hardy Cash Drive and Executive Drive, Hampton Fire and Rescue Chief Anthony Chittum said.

Officers responded to a call about the crash at about 12:50 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Mercury Boulevard. The driver of a black sedan lost control of their car, according to police, then swerved into oncoming traffic and collided with a gold SUV.

Firefighters were dispatched to the U.S. Post Office, but the fire was actually at the Granite Post Green mobile home park.

Surveillance video showed the woman walking around the home late at night carrying multiple items, including a baseball bat. She remains unidentified.

Investigators need help in identifying the woman responsible for the arson of a home in Hampton on July 1.
